Account Deletion Instructions

This page explains how ClimbDeck handles account deletion requests and how account data differs from data stored only on a device.

Current status

Self-service account deletion is not available yet. This page will be updated as account tools expand.

What riders should expect

  • A clear deletion request path from the account area.
  • Revocation of coach access before account closure.
  • Deletion or anonymization of portal account records, subject to legal obligations.
  • Disclosure of what remains on the rider's device versus server infrastructure.

Local device data

Routes, rides, and summaries stored only on a device are separate from account records and should be explained separately from account deletion.

Subscriptions

If Pro billing is handled by app stores, riders may need to cancel store subscriptions separately from deleting a ClimbDeck account.

Verification

Deletion requests should use reasonable identity verification to avoid accidental or malicious account removal.

Contact

A monitored privacy or support contact should be published before public accounts launch so deletion requests have a clear route.
