Health Data Policy
This draft explains how ClimbDeck intends to approach health platform integrations, sensor-adjacent metrics, and rider-controlled sharing.
Possible data types
- Workout summaries exported to health platforms.
- Heart rate, cadence, and other sensor-linked metrics when supported.
- Health-linked ride summaries or activity metadata the rider explicitly authorizes.
Purpose
Health data should only be used to power rider-visible ride history, summaries, exports, or integrations the rider has explicitly chosen.
No advertising use
Health data should not be sold or repurposed for advertising profiles. Product messaging should remain consistent with platform rules and rider expectations.
Sharing and consent
Health-linked data should not be sent to coaches, portals, or third parties unless a rider has been clearly informed and has explicitly opted in.
Revocation
Riders should be able to disconnect health integrations through device permissions or future in-app controls. This page should be finalized before any public health integration launch.
