Live Coach Data Push Policy

This policy explains the consent, visibility, and stale-data rules that guide the live portal experience.

Feature status

Registration, rider approval, metric consent, telemetry session auth, snapshot ingestion, push interval settings, stale or offline status handling, and the first dedicated coach dashboard are now in place.

Consent requirements

  • Coaches must register before requesting rider access.
  • Riders must explicitly approve a coach.
  • Riders must control which metrics are shared.
  • Riders must be able to revoke access.

Candidate shared metrics

Shared metrics may include speed, heart rate, power, cadence, grade, elevation gain, moving time, route progress, active climb progress, and ride connectivity state.

Connectivity and stale data

Delivery is intended to be near real time, not guaranteed real time. Riders can choose the push interval, and portal pages should show last update time plus stale or offline states clearly.

Retention and access

Retention windows, exact location scope, and verification requirements are still open decisions. Final limits should be published before public launch.

Revocation

Riders should be able to remove a coach, reduce the metric set, or disable sharing entirely without losing access to the free ride and climb features.
