Route help

Import GPX routes with useful elevation.

ClimbDeck uses GPX route and track points for route previews, map lines, navigation progress, terrain sampling, and route-based climb detection.

Before import

Choose a good GPX file

  • Use GPX files exported from a route planner or cycling platform.
  • Prefer routes with elevation data for terrain and climb previews.
  • Avoid very sparse files because navigation and terrain sampling become less useful.
Warnings

Understand route quality messages

  • Missing elevation limits terrain and climb detection.
  • Invalid coordinates are skipped.
  • Short or low-detail routes may not produce meaningful climb data.
Storage

Local route library

  • Imported routes are stored locally on your device.
  • Route climbs can be detected and saved with each route.
  • Delete old routes from the Routes tab when they are no longer needed.
