Scope
This policy applies to the ClimbDeck website, the ClimbDeck mobile app, and the future rider and coach portal available through www.climbdeck.com.
Some connected services arrive in stages, so the site and app will keep this policy aligned with the features available to riders.
Data categories
- Website analytics and support interactions.
- Route files and route metadata imported by riders.
- Ride metrics, climb context, and activity summaries produced by the app.
- Account, subscription, and coach access data once portal features are introduced.
- Selected live telemetry only when a rider has explicitly approved coach sharing.
How data is used
ClimbDeck uses data to operate ride recording, route guidance, climb-ahead features, support workflows, product improvement, and future Pro portal functionality.
Data should not be used to weaken the free climb experience or to enable coach visibility without rider approval.
Sharing
ClimbDeck may share data with infrastructure providers, app stores, and service providers needed to operate the product, subject to contractual and legal protections.
Coach-facing ride visibility is intended to be opt-in, limited to rider-approved metrics, revocable, and clear about stale or delayed updates.
Retention
Route imports and ride state are stored locally first. Account and portal retention periods will be published here as connected services expand.
Deletion pathways for future accounts are described on the Account Deletion page.
Changes and contact
This policy should be updated whenever location, health, account, or coach telemetry behaviour changes. Material updates should be dated in release notes or policy updates.
Support and privacy contact channels will be published on the Contact page before public release.
